This spring, @ratmagnet started an important conversation around the sexism that pervades the craft beer industry.

We need to do more to protect women and non-binary people, especially those of color, from discrimination, harassment, and abuse.

With this collaboration beer, we’re asking drinkers to start their own conversations, and to join us in reflecting on how our industry can be more inclusive and supportive. Let's make change.

Conversation Starter pairs the experimental hop variety HBC 586 with Citra in a dry, crisp West Coast IPA. HBC 586 is one of the most exciting newer, unnamed varieties - I get tons of ripe guava, and lychee, along with a basket of other tropical fruits and a hint of herbal pineyness. Rich, flavorful thiols accentuate the ripeness of the tropical fruits in an enticing way. We kept the body dry and the bitterness tight to let the aromatics of this new hop shine.
