Barley Wine Slims is easily the biggest beer yet from Temescal. The deceptively simple recipe uses 100% Floor Malted Maris Otter and Mosaic hops. A four hour boil darkens the beer to a rich copper color, concentrates the sugars, and brings out the toffee and candied fruit flavors of malt. The massive charge of Mosaic in the whirlpool builds on those fruity flavors with notes of peach, cotton candy, and blueberry. While rich and full bodied, careful fermentation ensures that this beer finishes balanced and drinkable, instead of syrupy.
